  1. Pure road bike from around the mid 2000s. Low spoke count wheels are not as durable. Check the rims and hub flanges for stress cracking. Check the frame for signs of damage. Make sure the seatpost moves. Then check out the shifting and brakes. If all that checks out then you have a pretty good bike.

    Always worth making and offer for less than asking. See if they would take 175ish and be willing to settle in the low 200s.

    Did they wrap electrical tape in Belgian colors to hide something on the frame? Is it dented, dented aluminum is not very strong. It’s a very old bike, 20ish years, and it wasn’t high quality when it was built, just look at those welds, and the electrical tape is sketchy, Pass
