Restomoddding my 1985 Pinarello Treviso and found that the steer tube is about 10mm too long. So I put an aluminum spacer from a threadless setup on it (between the lockring and top hardware). Seems to fit well, but will this cost me teeth?

it really depends how much threading does the top nut have left? Take a picture from the top.
I think it’s fine. Even if both nuts come loose, the fork will still be clamped by the stem
Looks like you might be missing a keyed washer. Without using one, you have a high chance of developing a loose headset…..and possibly loose teeth. You could also use a clamping headset locknut if you can find one.
I hope so because I’ve had a longer spacer than that on my childback tandem for years. I found a thorn tandem fork at a good price with a long threaded steerer and it seemed easier than cutting it down. Iirc there’s a mixture of threaded and threadless spacers on mine, edit the spacers are threaded I mean somenof thebspcers are tabbed to fit in the slot.
