We’re back up at I Peak Trail again. We’ve come a bit early because it’s Easter Saturday and it’s going to be banging up here. But the difference in a week, we came last week and it was like summer and today it’s absolutely Baltic. Uh we’ve got his full winter gloves and everything on. and some caravan. We’re actually going the opposite direction this week. We’re going towards Parsley Hay and then we’ll be turning off in a bit towards Ashborne. I still got to be careful with my knee. So, we’ll probably do 45 minutes each way. That’ll be enough. just build it up nice and gently. And then in a week or so, I’ll start doing some bits of climbs and that just to build the strength back into it. This, in case you don’t know, used to be an old railway line. And there’s one of the been a sign post coming up here. Looks like what would have been some signal lights or something and a bridge. Yeah, I think that used to be a signal. Yeah, it did. You can see the mechanics up there. Off we go through this tunnel. Now, 2 minutes later, we’re coming to another bridge. And this is I still prefer going a dog walk, but while I can’t walk very far. Come on, mate. There he is. There’s the little fella. He’s in the bad books a bit embarking at another dog. 20 minutes into the ride now and we’ll be turning off left in a bit. I’m expecting it. Never mind. There’s another car park somewhere down there, so it won’t be quiet. It’s not bad so far cuz it’s relatively earlier for an Easter weekend. But a few people we have met, they’ve been right miserable sides. I don’t want to sw with people now without their own houses. Uh plumbing meets or communicate and everybody just seems so bling miserable. Uh, I know everybody’s got a story. That includes us, but have to try and look on the brighter side of life. Look at those little dots. We’ve got a field full of them here. Two little black ones. Look about 2 to 3 weeks old. Daddy. And through this cut, if you can see it on the camera, I’ll film when we get a bit closer for about probably another 20 minutes. And that’ll do for today. 22 through a C. It’s a hill. It’s got to come through it. It used to be. But when this was cut out, it would be an impressive feat. Nowadays, it’s a relatively basic construction. Don’t know what this place was. I don’t uh I haven’t got a clue. Obviously something to do with a railway then through another mini cooker here. And there as well as a car park. There’s an old This would be where all the switch gear and that was in there. Morning. Hey, little Alfie. He’s loving it. He always tends to follow the bike that’s in front. Whether it’s either me or Sue, he likes to be up there and on it. We’re getting towards the end of the ride now. We’ve not been a massive distance. Probably uh I don’t know six at the very most seven mile. But to say I only had a new knee four weeks ago, it’s more than enough because it’s it’s really sore now. The wound. I’ve got my own personal gate opener. Oh yes. And he’s through. And he’s through again. Two on the bounce. It’s still relatively early. Uh, but we’re back at the van now and I’m actually quite surprised just how few people are here. It’s probably because it’s cold and dull. Uh, if it was sunny and warm, I think it’d be a different kettle of fish.
