Hey guys! My gf asked me to join her in an old hobby of hers, so that we can both get a bit more active this summer. She already has a bike, but I’m just getting started. After sitting on a few bikes and figuring out my sizing and what I liked, I started looking on fb marketplace for a hybrid bike with a medium sized frame. I found this Giant escape 3 which appears to be in pretty good condition, they were asking $250 and I negotiated down to $200 but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Would that be a good deal? Or should I keep looking for something else?

In my area 200 would be a pretty good price, I think. Make sure a helmet is in your budget.
It’s a good starter bike and 200 is a good starter price.

I have a 15 year-old Escape that’s been my daily driver commuter since I bought it new and it has been a fantastic machine. It’s still the bike I take bike packing, and I did my first century on it.
Only downside has been that it was a gateway drug into a very expensive habit.
