I’ve recently went into my old bike shop after not owning a bike in almost 10 years and I’ve only ever owned bmx bikes, I saw a giant escape 3 at the bike shop that caught my eye as I’ve been wanting to get a bike again and something to do some distance around my city and have fun on. The escape 3 was 600$ at the shop and I don’t have it right now so o got on fb marketplace and found this older giant escape. I’m unsure of the year but I know it has to be an older generation. It’s a size M frame, I’m 5”11 and it fits pretty comfy, I could probably use a large but after only ever riding bmx bikes this thing feels huge.
I bought this from an older guy, maybe late 60s who fixed up old bikes and sells them. I got it for only 120 bucks!
My only issue with the bike right now is that it doesn’t really wanna go into 3rd on the front derailleur. Recommendations on what to do? And was it a decent buy? Tyia

A buck twenty for that bike is a fair to good price.
I think that’s a good price. I just picked up a Giant Escape Disc for $200 on FB marketplace
