The sixth stage is launched. We’re off for 227 kilometers and for the moment, no attack. It climbs, but there are no points at the top of this 4.5 kilometer bump. Joshua Tarling, he really wants to be at the front. It’s Ben Turner. Now it’s Ben Turner. Ineos wants to go there. Six, but now seven. Since Lorenzo Germani has succeeded in his bet. Nice little number from the Italian runner who took advantage of the descent to make the junction. Come on. And here we go again. Two, Lucas Hamilton, Joshua Tarling, an /ovistar following just behind. Mathias Vacek who also follows this move, because for the Lidl Trek team, it could also possibly be a solution to put him in the breakaway. That way, it really wouldn’t be up to them to ride. Vacek, he’s not going to ride, Tratnik, he’s not going to ride. I think we’re going to start again at the foot of the pass. We bring back the organization car, we redo the Pelican, here we go again. 5 km from the foot of the big difficulty of the day. Why not ? Taco Van der Hoorn who has already won a stage in the Tour of Italy at the cost of a superb breakaway and incredible resistance on a peloton coming back on his heels. We decided otherwise. It’s Enzo Paleni, the rider of the Groupama FDJ, who is chasing potatoes just behind, Taco Van der Hoorn, at the curtain again, 114 kilometers from the finish. What does Ineos training do? What does Joshua Tarling do? Lucas Hamilton who anticipates slightly and Lorenzo Fortunato who says to himself: Hey, a wheel to take points to get to the top. He’s all in. I don’t know. Is Fortunato the one who is too strong? Honestly, I don’t know. Either, he waits… It speaks into the earpiece. Yes, but he can say: I am dead. I don’t know. We don’t know. In any case, Fortunato is not waiting for him. Finished. The Italian was fed up with the procrastination from this British team. It’s time for Lorenzo Fortunato who will climb at his own pace to get points. If he moves into third position at the top, that will be six small points gleaned for the Italian rider. Here we are. There we are. Are we going to make the effort to… A small point. Mads Pedersen? Yes, still, every point is worth taking. For the moment, I don’t see any ineos in Mads Pedersen’s wheel, or maybe I put my glasses on wrong. He is placed, Joshua Tarling. There, in the background, but… I think we won’t have a big offensive from the Inéos team. While at the front, Lorenzo Fortunato, mission accomplished 6 kilometers from the goal. He walks, he walks, Fortunato, all the same. Yes, he’s not bad. Up front, we didn’t drive at full speed either. Lorenzo Fortunato, 18 points in the bag. When he crosses the line. It shouldn’t escape his notice. 170 kilometers still to go. Yes, afterwards, we will see what the wearer of the mountain jersey will do. Will he continue the adventure? There, it’s a few drops of rain, we are far from the finish line, but as David said, we will follow. There is rain there. It’s a bit more than a few drops. Isn’t one of them getting up there? No, he’s all alone in front. No, he gets up. He gets up. At the very back, there, we see the duo finished for Lorenzo Fortunato, who made the descent safely in front and who will now rejoin the peloton. And Pedersen lets Kooij through. Exactly, we are going to take the sprint with Pedersen’s teammate. With Groves, Kooij and Pedersen as expected. Not Groves, it’s his teammate. A little sprint anyway Yes. A good sprint. Yes. We didn’t take any risks in the turns ahead. We’re going to argue about it until the end. For third place, five small points and yet… It’s Plowright again. It’s not Groves, it’s Plowright. He only takes one point from Mads Pedersen. It seems to me that he moved into third position in this sprint, so into fifth. The first instinct, obviously, is to put your hands on the brakes. If you brake, you slide. So. Unfortunately, we feared it with two riders making mistakes. First. FIlippo Zana, bib 158. The Ineos team. And the rider from the Ineos team. Effectively. Lucas Hamilton. Lucas Hamilton, who is really Filippo Zana, Lucas Hamilton. Really, it’s not his day, Lucas Hamilton. A runner from the Arkéa-B&B Hotels team who takes off on the… It’s Alessandro Verre. Ah well yes, the local, he will go and greet the family. Hello Bello. These images are nice. Almond, Julien Bernard jurisprudence. There, the UCI, we won’t let it go. Thank you, but we’re going to cut you off because that’s it, the first big falls occur within the peloton. Ouch, ouch, ouch. Afterwards, Zana Hamilton, we feared him. At any time, even on straight lines, it can fall. There, it’s going to be like that until the last few kilometers. Huge fall with an Intermarché Wanty runner badly hit. They are everywhere. It’s the butcher’s shop. It is the butchery of Movistar, of Israel. Almost all the teams went to the ground. Adam Yates hit. 70 kilometers from the finish, we feared it. Richard Carapaz too. Primoz Roglic too, one of Primoz Roglic’s teammates on the side. Daniel Felipe Martinez. There are 30 or 40 runners. Primoz Roglic. Jai Hindley, it seems to me, on the side. It’s terrible. It’s terrible because we could feel it coming, unfortunately, for many kilometers. What level does it fall to? It will fall just behind Roglic. It’s Tratnik who falls, the first to go to the ground. And there we are, we start to stop the two leading riders. We will neutralize. This official Jai Hindley, winner in 2022, retires during this sixth stage of the Tour of Italy. Huge blow, obviously, for the Red Bull-Bora Hansgrohe team, of which he was one of the essential pawns in the service of Primoz Roglic. I think it’s not the decision that satisfies the riders, in any case. They, yes, here we go again. Here we go again in this sixth stage. There, it’s a little bit of amazement, obviously. In the cabin, we’re going to go all out for Enzo Paleni and Taco Van der Hoorn. Very quick departure. Full throttle. We got along. Come on, let’s play it hard. And in 50 seconds, now less than 50 seconds. We will let go of the wild beasts of the peloton and we will also see the attitude because the riders also have the possibility of saying: We finish in parade, we let the two in front compete for victory. That’s it, it’s official. All riders who finish the stage will be put in the winner’s time from now on. All right. So, implicitly, what we understand is if you want to play the stage, go for it, if you want to finish in a parade, it’s up to you. That’s it. Important information. Therefore, Mads Pedersen will not achieve a fourth stage victory in this Tour of Italy. Today, obviously, the wearer of the pink jersey has decided to get up, he will finish this stage freewheeling. He has already given well. And the Visma – Lease a bike training is no longer amusing the gallery. We’re rolling, we’re rolling hard because there is a senior member of the house who, for the moment, is putting up resistance. Taco Van der Hoorn, the Dutchman from the Intermarché – Wanty team, has decided, along with Enzo Paleni, to sell his skin very, very dearly. Ouch, ouch, ouch, they’re in the line of sight, it doesn’t smell so good. We got excited, we wanted to believe it, but there, the Alpecin – Deceuninck team is killing the last hopes. In any case, they put up a good resistance. What happened? A protester. A protester. No. Be careful not to knock over a runner. It’s dangerous, it’s very dangerous. We would prefer not to see that. Enzo Paleni who goes alone. Enzo Paleni who has just dropped Taco Van der Hoorn on the three kilometer barrier but the Dutchman hangs on. They are right behind. The junction is imminent. Wout Van Aert, who is already in the very first positions , is replacing Olav Kooij with his 2 kilometer 700 cyclamen jersey. And the duo is in the process of being seen again. We believed it, but the decisive acceleration of the Alpecin Deceuninck got the better of this duo. In any case, what a great game with these two. The last two kilometers. We are arriving all along this Longo Mare now. It’s going to be straight to the finish line. Job finished for Lyonnais Dorian Godon. Max Kanter who is there, who will fend for himself for the Astana team, who has already taken a yellow card. Watch out for the Tudor duo, Pluimers with Zijlaard in the wheel, there too, it can be not bad. Very well placed. Olav Kooij is a little further away. He is around tenth position. We go up Zanoncello, we go up Lonnardi. We’re going to go for the sprint too, you said it, Govekar, two more runners just ahead. Sam Bennett, Dries De Bondt gets up. There, Van Aert, he will be important. Look, Olav Kooij trusts him completely. And we try the kilometer. There is a breakout which was made by the Alpecin – Deceuninck formation. We look back, maybe we’ll go all the way. Besides, it is Van Aert who will decide to make the effort. He didn’t take the wheel! Kooij who procrastinates, we will also make the effort for training Q36.5 What if Van Aert went for the win? And why not Van Aert who returns to the rider from the Alpecin team. Here we go for Wout Van Aert. Perhaps go for an unexpected victory in Naples. There was a break. We make the effort for Team Polti VisitMalta training. he is 10 meters ahead. Who will have to launch this far from the finish? Kooij waiting for his moment. Kaden Groves also waiting. Everyone is waiting. No, Wout Van Aert, don’t insist. It’s too late for Wout Van Aert who gets up. The sprint which is launched with the Q36.5 watch out, Olav Kooij who has to stop once, twice. It rubs. It goes to the right with Kaden Groves. Groves alone in the center who will pick up the victory. Blackboard of this Alpecin – Deceuninck formation which worked a lot in the last kilometers. Victory for Kaden Groves. It is Matteo Moschetti, the rider of the Q36.5 formation who will lock up our friend Olaf Koy. Paul Magnier will succeed despite… Look, he’s locked in there, Paul Magnier, but he will still manage to get third place. It will open up on the right for the French sprinter. We also recovered well for Milan Fretin who took second place, fourth place for Max Kanter. Lonardi 5, Zijlaard 6. And first podium on a grand tour for Paul Magnier, who took a good third place. The French teams with Cofidis therefore beaten by Kaden Groves. A tone above all the same, it must be said, in the sprint.

  1. Hi !
