-new tires and tubes
-chain and chainring 18/40t for cruising (gonna go up to a 46t)
-shimmed seatpost (30mm seattube, 29.2 post 😔)
-replaced ugly ahh saddle
-changed pedals for fixed use
-cleaned and regreased headset & bearings
-new bar tape
-replaced bottom bracket and chased / tapped threads
-replaced chainring hardware and crank bolts
I had to use a torch for the pedals, crank bolts, and bottom bracket, as they were all badly seized. i had to drill out the chainring hardware as they were also seized
i had to buy some tools (~$150) too but $100 for the bike and $170 in parts. learning how to do this for the first time, priceless! and I have an awesome spare bike to rip around!
I also splurged and ordered some Wabi sub-15s… may or may not mount them on this.
