I am just incredibly proud that this build worked out the way I wanted albeit with a few hiccups along the line. This was my first ever bike build ever and I have been planning it very carefully, read a ton of content and am really happy with how it turned out.
Been riding a Road Bike thats about 35 years old and maaaan is there a difference in the quality of the components.. i feel like I am flying with this one 😛
So glad i went with 2x tho… Being able to both climb and race at the right cadence is so nice!
Facts:
55 steel frame with carbon fork, DT Swiss Gravel DT wheels, 40c Conti Terra Trail (really nice tires imo), GRX 820 groupset (front and rear derailleur), The rest is GRX 600 series
All in all it was about 1,4k which could be less but I think Im still better off than buying one from the shelf (at least new) considering the price. I always try to buy a deal, second-hand or something old but this time I just wanted to treat myself and it was worth it!
Oh, and it's shy of 10,5kg.
Yes.. I cleaned it after :D!
