Just finished the ~360 mile Erie Canal from Buffalo to Albany and what a smooth trip it was! I had a tailwind 90% of the way, the trail surface was nice and smooth, and there was probably only one hill worth mentioning (coming out of Schenectedy I think) in the whole trip.
In fact, the trail was so easy-mode that I finished a day early, despite stopping in every little town to explore and/or buy coffee and a snack. I want to emphasize the accessibility of this tour-
I saw people of all ages and abilities making the trip and I’ve done day rides that left me more tired than I am after this entire tour. Any questions, ask away!
