Hi, Quick question about using a chain wear tool as per my images – would the tool have to "fall down" in between links to indicate 0.75% chain wear? it's currently at an angle and I'm not able to push it down any further.
I've already ordered a park tool one due to be delivered in couple of days but would like to ride my bike this weekend.

When the tool slips down between links, it’s 0.75% worn, and should be changed immediately. (Though on 11 or 12 speed systems, many would say they should be changed around 0.50%.) If the 1.0 side drops between the links, the chain is well and truly knackered – so much so that you’re probably damaging your cassette. Your chain has plenty of life in it. Enjoy your ride!
