Learning English should feel fun. And today it’s going to be an adventure. We are going to learn 10 countryside themed words. Then we’re going to play some word games. And finally, we’re going to explore Hoyan and see the beautiful city at night. And at the end of the video, there will be a quiz to reinforce all of the new words. So, let’s go. Ready? Seriously. So, the first word is rice patty. Rice patty. We are surrounded by rice patties. Beautiful. Okay. Should we go down there? So, quick stop. There’s a river that’s running here. I’m walking on the bridge and behind me are people working in the fields and farmers harvesting the rice. That lady is wearing a non-l traditional Vietnamese hat and nonla. In English, it’s called a conicle hat. Conicle means like cone shaped. To my right, we have the yellow rice fields. They’re ready to be harvested. There’s a man carrying a big bunch of straw. The farmer is carrying a big bunch of straw down here. If we couch down, this is an irrigation ditch to drain the rice fields. And this is a hand cart. A hand cart. You pick it up like this with your hand and you wheel it. Get to work, boy. I’ll put it back now. So, should we continue? This guys is a combine harvester. That’s to harvest all the rice. Look at that beauty. On the left here, this is a tractor. That’s a tractor on the left. And on the right here, this is called rubble. All loose stones and rocks is called rubble. Here there’s a man with a tool. He’s leveling out the rice so it can dry in the sun. Look at that. Okay, one second. I’m just going to get off. All right, guys. So, this in the background is a buffalo. It has two big horns on its head. And next to the buffalo, the calf is lying down on the floor. A baby cow, a baby buffalo is called a calf. There are also some chickens roaming around. Let’s keep going. Okay, on the left, these are banana trees with large banana leaves. I just wanted to say to you guys, if you’re walking out and about, it’s a great time to practice your English. Even if you’re not with anyone, just do what I’m doing. Look around and name things. Name nouns. Even if it’s simple nouns like sky and ground. If you don’t know the name for that thing, go on Google. Go and chat GPT and search the name for that thing. Yeah, it’s a great way to practice your English. Anyway, I’m going to hand the camera back to Chang now because we got some beautiful flowers here. Right, let’s learn some English. These we’re going to start here. These are called paper flowers. paper flowers or bugan villia. My mom’s favorite flower. These flowers are in pots. This is a pot. These are all pots. We’re going to go out on foot, take a walk to the Roven Chill House Cafe to play some English word games. Come tend the garden with me. We have so many seeds to sew. When the harvest comes in, it will be time to share what we have grown. We were having the time of our lives when we started. So now, let’s play a game. The game is called word flow and it’s simple. I’m going to say a word and Chang will say a word that relates to that word. I’ll then say a word that associates with her word and so on. It’s like verbal pingpong. The loser is the one who doesn’t say a word after 3 seconds. If you pause, you lose. You ready? Coconut. Vacation. Holiday. Summer. Sun. Moon. Luna. Lunatic. Mentalist. Hospital. Doctor, nurse, health, mental, crazy, bastard, head. No. What is no bed? No bed. It’s like These are rude words, but that’s fine. Poo. Toilet. Chain. Word games. loser. Okay, I lost. Round one. We’re going to take you guys around and I’m going to point out some things in English for you to learn. Sign. Sign. That’s a large tree. We got some stores here selling clothes and stuff. Lanterns. These are all lanterns. Beep beep. That man just honked his horn. Got a shopppee doing a delivery. He’s dropping off a package or a parcel. Boss man. On the right hand side, this is a pavement, cobblestones, and we’re walking on the road. This is a T junction where the road forks out into two lanes like a T junction. This is a bike parked on the curb. The place between the pavement and the road the curb behind me. That’s an alley. An alley. Here we got more bags. These bags are made from leather. If anyone’s ever been to Vietnam, the traffic is mental, but you get used to it and it’s pretty fun. Right now, we’re walking through Hoyan, the old town, and I’m going to show you guys how beautiful this scene is. Look at that. Stunning. Wow. So, somebody got a French movie. She’s walking up the stairs. These are tables with the tablecloth on. There’s a a runner in the middle, two chairs either side. Behind me is the Hoyan River. And I don’t know if you can see loads of people on the boats with the lanterns. The lantern boats. Hello. Okay, let’s see if we got 10k. So, we’re going to put a candle on the river. Okay, so she’s lighting the candle. Putting it in a box. Come on. Oh, this. Come on. So, I’m lowering the candle in the water. Come on. Go. I just put a little candle in the river. That was a new experience. Look at that. It’s Spider-Man crawling with a flashing machine gun. That’s hilarious. On the right hand side, this is the pavement. We have a tree with some white paint on the bark. We’ve learned loads of English today. We’ve explored Hayan and we’ve had some fun.
