The previous owner upgraded the rear shock to a fox dpx2 and the drivetrain to Deore 11/52.
It's completely overkill and arguably wholly unsuitable for the type of riding I spend a majority of the time doing (urban / suburban commutes and cruising), but I love that I can take this thing absolutely anywhere and everywhere and it'll take it like a champ.
I love this bike and in my mind the price I got it for was a bargain.
Also, I am planning to disassemble her some day and repaint the frame into a metallic pearlescent glittery red! I'll apply some kind of paint/frame protection at that point too. I may splash out and buy a suspension dropper post too.
