Seeking better organization methods that can be implemented on a rolling trolley due to mobility needs.

  2. Get your self a modular rolling toolbox. Milwaukee has the Packout system for example, there are good cheaper alternatives from the likes of Stanley, RIGID, Husky etc.

What I do (not on a tray but in a small apartment closet) is I use canvas bags or tool rolls that ive scrawled on with duct tape and permanent marker for everything that did not come in its own case, like a socket wrench set or my screwdriver set.

Small Rubbermaid bin for various cleaners and fluids, with a puppy pee pad at the bottom to absorb any leaks. Canvas bags usually pop up on the clearance shelf at the local hardware store or auto shop but you can find them on Amazon or wherever.

You should watch some of Adam savages youtube videos on the topic. He builds custom carts for the purpose of “first order retrievability”.
