I shoo them out of the way usually. Carefully if they’re the spicy kind. People will go to pretty crazy lengths to kill a snake.

Give them a ride.

Just leave it unless cars use that road. I saved a baby turtle from a highway once. Took it to a river with a vinyl glove. It’s cute little feet were funny

If you’re cold, they’re cold. Put them in your mouth.

It’s pretty, I wonder what type it is. Cool you were able to get such a good night photo because of your headlight. And avoid running it over. Assuming you didn’t then run it over.

Bunnyhop it while you blow it a kiss goodbye.

if it’s already moving, and it’s a frequented path/trail, I’ll sometimes stand guard so long as it keeps moving.
If it’s not moving, I’ll sometimes try a tire bounce near by, or poke/prod it with a stick or grass shoot or similar.
if it’s not a busy path, I’ll sometimes just let it be.
I was careless a couple years back, and ran over one in a shaded area that I didn’t see until too late, and feel a bit guilty about it, so I feel some level of obligation to do what I can to help protect the ones I come across now… :/
