[Music] Good afternoon. So, we have just arrived at Sam’s mom’s in the south of France. For the past few days, we’ve been busy traveling from Edinburgh down to the south of France. We arrived in Marseilles yesterday in the morning and made our way through Montelli this afternoon where we stayed with Sam’s sister. And today we’ve made our way out to the countryside where we’ll be staying for a few days. We’re going to be staying down here for a few weeks. So, we’re really looking forward to exploring a few new areas and hopefully enjoying some warmer weather so I can share a few little clips of our travels and then I will continue to take you along with me for the next few days. [Music] The night before we set off, I found myself in the classic pre-trip chaos, surrounded by clothes and making checklists, only to end up with a suitcase stuffed to the brim, a carry-on barely zipping shut, and enough clothes for over a [Music] month. Thursday morning came painfully early and we left the house half awake, but the excitement was definitely there, too. [Music] Our flight to Marseilles was short and sweet. A peaceful pause to allow us to finally wake up. [Music] Marseilles greeted us as usual with hurricane lens. [Music] After a chaotic landing, we caught the bus to the nearby train station. And not long after, our train arrived. And just like that, we were settled into our window seat, ready for the next part of our adventure. We hadn’t eaten much that morning, so we enjoyed our first taste of French food, eating baguettes on the train whilst watching the scenery go by. I always seem to find that on taring travel days, the food seems to taste better. Train ride to Melli was slow and beautiful. I always forget how peaceful train travel is in France. [Music] It provided the perfect slow moment to regroup after a busy morning. And I love watching the little town roll past the picturesque countryside and feeling the warm sunshine through the windows. [Music] [Music] Hello. We stayed in Melly for the night visiting family. After hopping on a tram and making a quick detour to Subaru, which will forever be my favorite supermarket, we settled into the flat for the [Music] evening. That night, we enjoyed fresh food, great company, and we also enjoyed cuddles with the two cutest cats. The next morning, Sam’s sister and her husband headed off on their own adventure to Indonesia. As they headed towards the airport, Sam and I instead boarded a bus west towards Peznas. [Music] If you’ve never been to Peznast, like I hadn’t until recently, just imagine a town from a story book. It has the cutest little cobble streets, pastel shutters, and lots of little decorations line the streets. Whilst we were there, we wandered through the alleys, dipped into little shops, grabbed a drink, and enjoyed catching up with Sam’s mom. On the way home, we stopped at the bakery because of course, it’s not a day in France without fresh [Music] baguettes. That afternoon, we reached our final stop for the week. Arriving at home with his parents, we arrived to warm sunshine and their gorgeous garden while Saki and Regles, their dog and cat, were already waiting outside to say hello. Last time we were there, it was in the depth of winter in December. But this time, it really felt like summer had reappeared. We enjoyed a barbecue in the garden with the family while watching the sunset and it was a perfect way to finish another lovely day. Good morning. So today we’re having a relaxed day with the family. The first few days of our trip have been really enjoyable. We’ve just had a slow start to the holiday and just tried to relax a little bit as we had a few early starts. So today I don’t think the weather’s meant to be too good. So we’re going to be heading out hopefully to a vintage market later on to have a we look around and see what’s there. Yesterday evening was really relaxing and we enjoyed time with family. We had a lovely barbecue for dinner and just spent the rest of the evening chatting and catching up as we’ve not seen each other in a while. So, we had a lovely evening and we’re looking forward to a fun day today. Today, I think we’re going to get up to a few different things and I’m going to continue filming and you can see more of that in the next video. Thank you so much for watching and I will see you next time. [Music]
