Do you mean the whole noodle or just the end bit? The whole noodle is the cable housing. The one for brakes is compression housing and the one for shifting is usually SIS housing and often narrower in diameter.

The end piece is called a ferrule. They also differ in diameter depending on whether they are for brakes or shifting.
