Next week, i will attempt to cycle 2000km over the course of a monthish on my uncles old touring bike. Not sure if I'll make it all the way, I need to be back by late June, but I hope to make it to Valencia at least. Never done a multi day ride but I've cycled enough to hopefully be able to do 80-100k per day.
Been loving reading through this sub for advice, and might do another post later this week asking specific kit questions. I'm so excited. I wanted to share the trip with you guys and see if anyone has and advice/recommendations of things to see and do along this route.

Id recommend sticking to the coast to see more of the north east coast of spain, that section from the pyrenees to Barcelona or so is absolutely gorgeous. Its called la costa brava.
The pyrenees are absolutely insanely beautiful too, so would recommend maybe seeing more of it 🙂
Not attempt…. You’ll do it
Looks fucking awesome.
France is a pleasure to cycle through. Camping Municipal or farmer’s fields.
Take it easy at the start. Don’t push yourself.
I remember my first tour, London to Munich via Paris. I was doing 40-50km a day at the start and breathing it my arse. By the end 120-150km a day was a doddle.
Enjoy!
The part after Malaga to Gibraltar is on the A7. It’s legal but horrible. There are some nice parts along the coast like Cabo de Gato but overall it’s over developed. But you’ll probably have a good time regardless. Adios!
Checkout the Plazaola trail from San Sebastián-Pamplona, it’s great.
Have a great trip, enjoy it.
In France you will hear “bon courage!” In Spain you will hear “bon Camino!” Have fun and enjoy the trek!
