Is that the tyre peeling off?

Because if it is, its fake!. I got continental tyres in my bike and the labeling is like embedded into the tyre

Don’t buy from ebay or aliexpress and you won’t have this problem.

They shouldn’t just be stickers, and does the GP5000 even come in an ebike tag?

Definitely send those back, if it was a genuinely reputable retailer they’ll sort it.

They are fake; the markings on the real ones are embedded in the rubber, not stickers.

Source: I rode on easy gravel with GP 5000 AS tyres and the sidewalls were badly worn. The only elements that are glued are the reflective strips on some models.

The retailer i bought them from is called bike-components. I’ve bought other parts from them before but i guess wont do so in the future.

Temu gp5000s prolly wouldn’t go past 10mph on them if I were you lol

  7. Not giving any guarantees but looks fake to me. I have seen fakes that had the branding on the side of the tyre that was a sticker where the genuine ones the graphics are molded into the tyre when it’s cured.

  8. Interesting. I got conti 5000s for the trams am a while back. The tire didn’t last 500 miles. Makes me wonder if it was a fake.

I’d try to contact Continental directly. They might be interested if the tires are counterfeit.
