I'm currently living in West Africa, in the tiny country of Gambia. I've done some touring before, nothing too long, but I'm gearing up for a longer trip this summer in Switzerland, and I need to get my cycle legs under me! I planned a short weekend trip, nothing crazy, just 25 miles each way to a lodge, but I took the ferry to get there and overall it felt very adventurous! I was nervous being a solo foreign lady, but everyone was so kind and generous. Kind of a silly set-up as I only brought one panier with me from the States but it worked out fine, except for toppling over in the sand.
