Unfortunately Texas has basically no public land, but this is a really good spot.
Only about 20 miles of riding, but 15 miles of nice open highway, with about 5 miles of jeep roads to get to this spot.
Learned a lot. Having nearly 40lbs extra on my bike slowed me down a ton, and I’m really debating on swapping out my fork for one with mounts for gear to help balance the load.
Unfortunately had a super super close call on the ride home with a car running a red light, stopping less than 2 feet from t-boning me, but tried to shake it off.
But it was a lot of fun, and I’ll do this trip again in the fall.
