Was lucky enough to spend some days in Fuerteventura, weather was amazing! And as you may suspect I managed to rent a bike and ride a bit around the place. Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands, but the least densely populated. The island is known for its consistently sunny weather, its beautiful beaches, and its susceptibility to wind (which gives the island its name). Beach lovers and windsurfers have always been attracted to this island destination, however, the government has focused on marketing the island as a place to enjoy nature, peace, and…cycling!

Fuerteventura is a popular cycling destination, particularly for road cyclists and triathletes, due to its mild climate, well-maintained roads with little traffic, and ideal training conditions. The best time to cycle is generally from February to May and October/November… you can try to cyle from July to August…. but you could possibly melt!
