I’m trying to get into road biking and are considering a used bike to get more value for my buck. I’m no expert but digging on reddit this seems like a good deal? Would appreciate others’ opinions a lot! What do you like? What you don’t? Is it worth $500?

Description from seller below:

2023 Trek Emonda ALR 60 cm custom built with full Shimano Ultegra Di2. The bike has Bontrager Aeolus 37 Carbon Wheels, Bontrager Carbon post, Bontrager aluminum bars and stem.

The bike is in in great shape and the drive train only has about 1000 miles on it. I am selling to make room for a new bike purchase .

60cm for Trek is generally a 58 by the standards of other manufacturers. I have included a chart by Trek for fit guidelines.

Continental Grand Prix 5000 tires are on the bike.

False, I have a 58 Emonda and it is an actual 58

The price is way too low, it’s probably stolen. With those components it should be at least 2500

  2. A bit overpriced, try to negotiate for $350

(beware of a scam or a stolen bike, tr*k sells emonda frame kit for $1500)

this would be like $1000 used at least, something wrong here, only thing besides stolen I can think of is the guy is getting a divorce and needs $500 to give his lawyer by monday and is giving away his pride and joy because he found a dude chilling in his house when he got home friday

or perhaps the same story except no one around really wants a 60cm bike and he dropped the price to get someone to resell it

  4. I’d snap that up right away. I would pass if there is anything shady, but sometimes people just want stuff out of the house and don’t care that much about money.
