Three grumpy men of a certain age set off bikepacking around the beautiful Isle of Wight not once but twice over successive and very sunny days. Our aim was to prepare for a mega tour from which will start from Portsmouth by ferry for a unsupported bikepacking trip from Santander in Spain. Then heading North along the Atlantic Coast thro’ France to arrive at the English Channel port of Cherbourg. Then taking the Ferry back to UK port of Poole.
It seemed a good idea to stack the bikes as if we were loaded for the trip although, it is planned to cycle ‘light and fast’ for the advanture.
