been looking on FB market for a good deal to get started and saw this posted. tried doing research and didn’t really come up with anything other than that tehse are pretty funky. looking for something for super casual biking

Softride went out of business in 2007 so if you need any parts for the beam suspension you might be out of luck.
These were very popular in Triathlon in the early 2000’s and they seemed like nice bikes. Older dudes liked them a lot for comfort reasons, but I heard some people say you have to have a smooth pedal stroke or you will bounce all over the place.
Is it worth $250? I would say yes, but check the beam and suspension parts closely because you will not find replacement parts.

Not your starter bike. Get something less exotic.
