Hi!
I’m building my first geared bike and realized that I overlooked the chainline question when I was buying parts for the build.
I’m trying to build a 1×11 on a 1994 Marin Palisades frame with 26” tires. I bought a Shimano M5100 cassette and an M5100 crankset. I replaced the 32t chainring for a 38t.
I believe the is 52mm but I don't know what the hub size is, and couldn't measure it too accurately and don't want to take off the cassette.
I'm interested if you think based on the photo that the chainline would be okay, before I take it in to a shop for them to finish the build.
Thank you in advance!

I can’t edit the post, I meant to say that the new deore m5100 chainrings chainline is 52mm.
Cant say for sure without a chain but it looks okay. Isnt your derailleur hanger bent though ?
Chainlines are literally measured in mm, so can’t really tell from your pictures. But as long as it shifts well, it should be fine. AFAIK I’d assume it is since it looks like a 135mm QR hub with HG freehub and suitable deore set.
You can add spacers between your spider and chainring to bring your chainring back to 49mm, which I believe it should be for a QR 135 axle
