Welcome back to day 58 of biking from Norway to South Africa and day three of biking in the Netherlands. I woke up a little bit hung over from watching the match last night and so getting started was kind of rough, but it was a very exciting day because my dad was joining us for his first day of biking and his first day of his vacation to come visit us on our bike trip. We picked him up from Central Station in Arnham and got him set up on a bike. He’s riding on a swap feeds which is pretty funny, but it was the best I could do to get him a bike that he could ride for the 8 days. We have Alex carrying his backpack on top of his bag and I have a few of his clothes in my paneers and all is good. We rode through a national park for a bit this morning. I don’t know how to pronounce it, so forgive me, but the Velu. It was really beautiful and such a nice way to start my dad off with some easy and fun riding. And he was in for a pretty big day. We biked all the way to UTK today. So, unintentionally a pretty big first day. Um, but got to start him off strong. And the rest of the days are much shorter. So, if he could do yesterday, I’m sure he could do the rest of the trip. We spotted some more blackberry bushes, so we picked a few of those before continuing our ride. And yesterday was such a good mix of like some nice trails, some city biking, um some suburban towns with some really nice paths. So, he really got to experience it all. The Netherlands is just such a good place to bike obviously, but it is so fun every day and I’m so happy to be here. We ended up getting to check pretty late in the day around like 9:20. Um so, we walked around a bit to try and find some dinner with very little luck. Um but that’s okay. We were all so tired and just ready to go to bed at the end of a long day. And tomorrow we’re off to Amsterdam. So, it’s going to be a great next few days. And thanks for watching. I’ll see you tomorrow.
