    Really wash and scrub the dirt off the whole bike first lol. 

    Buy a suspension pump (https://a.co/d/23glvjZ). It is about the size of a handheld tire/basketball/soccer ball pump but it threads onto air shocks – they are low volume/high pressure pumps. 

    See if you can find the make/model of that shock and look up the manual on how to adjust it. Take off the silver cap and thread on the suspension pump. Pump it up a bit and check sag. Manual should state suggested sag but it is usually ~20%

    Given how old the bike is there’s a chance the shock needs some servicing to really function as intended.

    Make sure to cycle the shock whilst adding air, I cycle every 25 psi or so to be safe. You do this so you equalize the negative/positive air chambers.
