


Figured I'd try cuz why not, have an extra tire if it fails.
Dont have rocky downhill parks around me so these DHR's will lose the shoulder lugs long before the center wears down so i thought why not add grooves to the lugs for more grip and see what happens. I used a drywall cut out tool with a tiny dremel zip disc.

Why? I mean how will they work?
The lugs you cut will wear faster than normal. I suppose there is some traction benefit as well. One of those car tire distributors, like americas tire or maybe big o, tries to upsell people on a tire slicing service which supposedly increases traction, but in the automotive application it is absolutely useless and only makes them wear faster.
