Hey folks – I’ve been building Pebbls, a travel journalling and mapping app for people who enjoy slow, meaningful adventures – bikepacking, hiking, sailing, road trips, that kind of thing.

As you travel, you can track your route and drop in “Pebbls” – pins with notes, photos, or videos – to capture moments along the way. It builds into a beautiful interactive map that tells the story of your journey. Anyone can follow along in any browser – no app and no account required. You can also embed your journeys into your blog or website – I've built a WordPress plugin to make that easy.

It’s free to use. There’s an optional paid tier with a few extras for more advanced users (like private journeys or password protection), but for most people the free version covers everything they need.

Here are a few example journeys if you're curious:
🚐 UK to Georgia by bicycle
🚲 Japan bike trip
⛵️ Sailing around the world

I'm working on this solo and would love any feedback – on the app, the concept, or ideas on how to reach more like-minded travellers.

Cheers!
– Simon

PS – The name "Pebbls" is inspired by the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel, who left a trail of white pebbles to mark the route they had taken.
