I rode the route of the Great Birmingham Run 10k on my bike to prepare. (There’s a couple of bits where I go wrong, because you can’t cycle there until the road is closed).
😬 i actually feel bad for you, that is such an unpleasant place to cycle Why not go the canal routes or catch a train to longebridge (lickey hills) for some real cycling? (Or as close as you can get that near the city) The stop starting is ruining what cycling is about, i'd rather do 20 miles of country road than 5 miles anywhere near town centre.
