Hey guys,
Im currently planning a 2000km tour next year, surfaces will be a mix of paved and unpaved roads. I imagine the roughest terrain I’ll face will be rough rural dirt roads and muddy roads.
I currently run Maxxis Receptors and while they’ve been a great tire with no punctures over the last year, I find they perform badly as soon as there is any mud, and cornering on gravel doesn’t feel particularly safe.
I’m considering changing these to a tire which isn’t so slick on the centre, while I don’t think I need a full mud tire.
Have you guys got any recommendations??
