Do you have a dynamo like this? If so, could you share a video of the wheel spinning in the air with it? It would be interesting to compare it with mine! There's a 'Made in Taiwan' label on it.

That’s an SP dynamo (or licensed copy). There will be a slight notchiness if you spin it by hand. When riding it this should not be noticeable. The light will blink at speeds below ~10kph but go steady at normal riding speeds. If this is not the case, you should speak to the manufacturer or distributor for warranty repairs.
