I'm taking part in the North Cape 4000 from Berlin to the North Cape (3000 km) in August.
I just took my Canyon Endurace for a short 2 day trip with full camping gear and everything else I'm planning on packing.
Everything went quite well so far wih temperatures around 4°C at night.
Has anyone of you been to the North Cape in August? I'm quite unsure about the weather conditions and what to expect climate wise.

🤩 Wow, you are going for a treat, hope you reward us with some videos or pictures of the ride (maybe share your Strava account so the more curious ones can follow up?)
By the way, how’s the handling, at a first glance it seems that you put everything to high, and might be have a wobbly steering, I would recommend you share some load on the front fork with some adaptors as you have no screws there… another one is, choose the wider tyre you can fit, and get many inner tubes, even 100% on road, gravel tyres get punctured, I can only imagine those tiny ones 😇 remember that the bike now has much more weight than riding without all that gear
I’m sure some else that already did dome adventure bike packing can tell you a bit more on what to avoid, have fun!
The organizers are great folks, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Andi a few times. He’s superb. That stabilizer is a great piece of kit. Have done photo work in media cars and have seen folks wasting energy with ‘bag wag’ and loosing their efforts with loose bags. You’re going to have a great ride!
I ran 32mm panaracers on Trans Am Bike Race in 2014 and they were very comfortable, only got one flat.
