I recently bought a new Trek FX2 disc
I am trying to tighten the cable so the front brakes are tighter. Currently the front brake has to be squeezed too hard and the barrel adjustment makes no apparent difference.
However, I do not see a way to pull the cable through and tighten to shorten the length of the cable and increase tension (seems to be next step from what I’ve read online).
I could take back to the bike shop, but would prefer to do myself and learn if it is simple.

there is no adjuster, they are hydraulic. they need to be bled, take it back. this is not a novice activity as you risk contaminating the rotors and pads.
