A few days ago I posted that I finally did my first drop-in since starting BMX in my 30s. I got a lot of good feedback saying not to go straight in as it's super sketchy.
I’m going in from more of an angle now and trying to use better technique. I know the next step is hopping in, but I feel like this is progress.

It’s interesting seeing many in the modern era drop in forward because of small sprockets etc, I see kids do it all the time, which of course whatever works, but yeah getting the parallel to the coping dialled really helps so much more than just dropping in, especially for transitions where a straight drop in couldn’t be done as such anyway!
Looking solid, if you have solid bunny hops aswell you can try hopping into the quarter 👊🏻
Now what you want to get used to is getting your back end up as you’re coming in so you’re coming straight down the ramp instead of rolling over the coping. Once that’s comfortable start picking your front up as you roll in and bam you’re hopping into your drop in.
Ayyy
That’s how I first learned. But it looks like you’ve got it down much better. Personally hoping in took me awhile. I’d recommend just getting used to dropping in with more speed first.
