I have nothing but good things to say about these pedals. These are my second set of ATAC pedals, the first one I’ve had for 4 years and I could’ve probably keep riding them, but the bearings started to get a bit of play. They’re about 70€ depending on the store, great value. Higher models are also available in carbon and lighter weight, but these are enough for me. Cleats also last quite a bit of time, I think I’m on my 2nd set now and will be replacing with the new one I got with the pedals.
The main advantage over SPD is the amount of float, not just toe float but also a bit of side to side as well. You can also customize the clip-in strength (3 settings) and the clip-out angle (by rotating the cleats left-right). Very easy to clip in and out and no problem with sand or dirt. I think they’re a great fit for the Grizl. Before that I was running Speedplay Frog pedals, now discontinued. Time pedals is now owned by SRAM as well.
