Welcome to the MKM Stadium, home of whole city. This is the tour of the Yorkshire football stadiums. We’re going to do 11 stadiums in two days. I’ll see you on the road. [Music] And off we go. Started in the park next to the whole stadium. I set off at 6:30 a.m. because there was a lot of hot weather due that day. And it was really pleasant on the run up towards York. [Music] There was a mix of little villages, nice country roads, and farm [Music] tracks and a Viking boat. Arrived at checkpoint number one, the LN Community Stadium, York. 47 miles in. Let’s keep this going. So, I carried on out of the historic city of York, the beautiful old walls along the raceourse before hitting the cycle roads for a bit. It was a steady ride as the weather was getting warmer. But little did I know that I were going to encounter a problem. my derailer snapped and the chain wouldn’t go back on. So, the side of the road, I managed to bend the derailer back in place to temporarily allow me to get to leads, but it was annoying cuz it wouldn’t let me go anything lower than about fourth gear, which was challenging on the hills. 79 miles in. We’ve made it to Ellen Road leads United. It’s a warm one and I’ve had a bit of trouble with the chain and the derailer, but we’re keeping going because it’s been tough. I need one of Lionel Miss’s special drinks. Mass. This is the Miami Punch version. O, let’s keep it going. [Music] I spent a bit of time at Lead Stadium having a bit of lunch and heading up towards Bradford. There was some really good designated cycle lanes before I found a cycle shop just at the right time. And they also gave me a complimentary flat white. Derailer fixed. I was back on the road heading towards Bradford at a rate of knots. [Music] As I arrived at the Valley Parade Stadium, it was unbelievable Jeff as I bumped into one of Bradford’s favorite sons. And then I was quickly out of Bradford. It was very warm and there’s a lot going off. 95 miles in. A little bit of a push to get to the the last two stadiums. So, I’ve got myself a chocolate fat jackpack and just found a little bit of shade. We’ll keep going. I was getting tired now. And the climb up past Shibdon Park was challenging, but we were soon in Halifax and arrived at the penultimate stadium of the day. [Music] We’re soon on the way to Huddersfield via Brig House. some nice flat roads before we got to our final stop of the day, the John Smith Stadium in Huddersfield. [Music] [Music] [Music] This is Huddersfield Town, the sixth and final stadium on day one. We’ve done 113 miles. So, it’s been good. It’s been hot, but it’s been good. See you on day two. [Music]
