For context, I just had this bike today. It fell of when I was rolling it after I hit a door. My wife has a 6 speed c line but does not have any of these attached on her bike. I am certain that this came from my bike.

it goes on the rear triangle, where the front wheel attaches. I made a post about this a while ago and some people said it’s just protecting the frame during transport from the factory. Mine also came off during my second ever fold.
