diamondback topanga FS. had one for a while, had some proprietary crank/chainring spacing where a normal 8 speed shimano chain would not fit. not great but gets the job done. also very heavy

No idea what year. I recognized the name because I had a hardtail topanga early nineties.

Diamondback was big in BMX scene iirc in the 80s. Disappeared from the map in the 90s w discount bikes, and been aware of them again since 2010s – not a top brand but they’ve put out some decently spaced bikes. Just sold a gravel “Haanjo” that I enjoyed for years and they’re still making new ones (designed in Auburn WA, made in Asia somewhere AFAIK)

It looks like one of the big box store DB’s from that time period. I found one for free, fixed it up with spare parts and gave it to a friend in need. He was super happy and I enjoyed fixing it up. The frame is actually okayish. The rest of it is not so good. I would not pay any money for something like this.
