Bought this from a gentleman on Craigslist as my first bike project, was mostly stock. I’ve swapped the handlebars, grips, tires, pedals, saddle, front brake cable/housing, added the front basket, rear rack, handlebar bag, bell and rear light. It has been a massive pain in the ass and I still don’t know what I’m doing but I’ve also had a blast so far. This is a rabbit hole I wasn’t expecting for 2025 but here we are. Now I’m sleeplessly searching for Japanese quill stems on eBay like a psycho.
Just don’t ask me about gear ratios, because I’ll make a fool out of myself.
Anyway, this subreddit rules, thanks for the sweet bikes and jokes.

I’d never seen the tan Big Ben tires. Very cool. I’ll keep an eye out for when my current set wears out. A little heavy, but they’re very long-lasting and durable tires. I’ve yet to get a flat with them (knock on wood).
