Bike set up for GDMBR Northbound leaving in a few weeks time from UK, flying to El Paso, then hitting the open tracks to Canada! A friend said I had a bit too much stuff, but I'm not in a rush or racing it, and I've tried to keep it super paired back. It's a Temple Cycles, Adventure Disc 1. Hoping to keep back panniers pretty light and have a second front cage to help balance the weight there too. Tips, advice or encouragement v welcome!

  1. What exact date are you starting? I did it from June 10 in 2023 and had a bit of snow at Indiana Pass. If you go much before that you’ll likely have to reroute or push through snow. Marshall, Boreas Passes likely to have snow until mid-June.I got really lucky on my entire ride and encountered almost no mud but it seems like most aren’t as fortunate. The mud can be a quagmire and those fenders (as much as I love fenders!), give me pause. Check weather, conditions and reroute as necessary. Last, enjoy! It’s spectacular.
