I’m a total beginner. I live near a couple of trails, including a green trail that I have rode a couple of times. The first time, I had a nasty OTB crash that took a couple weeks to recover from.

The trail is green and I think literally for kids, but it’s downhill, and at the bottom there’s this steep but short descent into a small roller, and then the trail climbs back up right afterward.

It seems to me it’s designed to buck you. Even if I knew how to jump the roller at the bottom, the landing would be uphill. And thanks to the descent directly before, I feel I have too much speed to just absorb it.

I tried taking some photos, but they weren’t helpful, so I drew a picture instead: [https://i.imgur.com/Y4yLpfU.png](https://i.imgur.com/Y4yLpfU.png)

I got the courage to go ride it again, and this time I stopped before this part and looked at it, but I couldn’t figure out how to ride it safely, so I walked it.

Any tips on what I should be trying to do here?
