I have just added a spacer to my bike, every bolt is tightened and steering feels absolutely perfect as it used to (Ive been on a few rides like this) but my spacers now rotate as if they aren’t secure. Just wondering if this is something to worry about/if im above the max spacers or if this really wont cause any issue? Thanks a lot

Is this bad/dangerous

Are you sure the top cap is tightened enough? Try tightening just before the point where the steering feels too tight.

Your video has no sound buddy. Sound use to helps the diagnosis.

Fairly certain you have more spacers than the manufacturer recommends which is typically 30mm. Find an angled stem to get your bars up higher in a safe way.

Did you loosen the stem bolts before tightening the steerer bolt?

In many situations, simply adding a spacer is bad. If the upper stem bolt that clamps onto the steerer is above the top of the steerer, then your stem is not clamping the steerer in the way that was intended.

Yes it’s super dangerous. If you don’t know what’s going on take it to someone who doesbefore you ride it and end up without your teeth or weird angles in your collarbone

  7. This was just happening to me, was only able to tighten further when elevating with a repair stand. If you’re doing this with the bike on the ground that may be setting in a slightly off position which is limiting how tight it can get.

Well. It seems to me like you did not let the stem to sit properly on the spaces before tightening the stem bolts. I can’t say how dangerous that could be, but the stem is supposed to be well placed on the spaces. Thas what the spaces are intended for.
