Insane not to run a narrow wide 1x setup for this race. Shimano are pathetic they don't have a narrow wide 1x option for road bikes. Never would have dropped chain with a narrow wide and clutch derailleur. Huge failure by Team to stick with sponsor Shimano who doesn't have appropriate gear, and HUGE failure from Shimano for not simply making a large narrow wide for their own cranksets for roadbikes. There are endless aftermarket options, it's insane they don't make their own. SRAM just destroys Shimano and their slow Japanese ways.

The only thing missed is the handlebar tape. He’d never ride handlebars taped up to the stem, probably to provide better grip considering the cobbles in all positions
