Hi guys, I've been shy to share as I am in no way as knowledgeable as you guys. I got this bike end of last years and it has been through many iterations before reaching this form which I'm finally satisfied about. I really like the bikes Mike Varley at Black Mountain Cycles makes. These photos were taken during my recent trip in the Shimanami Kaido which I highly recommend!

I don’t think you can see the parts but my favourite are definitely the hubs from White Industries. Such a breeze to ride and even with 700×55 tires it can catch up with road bikes without an issue (albeit the frame plays a big role).
The only thing I would like if there is a n+1 one day are disc brakes for easier packing of the bike…

How do you like the ride with that very elegant fork when riding on rougher terrain?
If you get a disc fork, it will be more heavily built and not quite as compliant. You will appreciate the extra brake power when riding loaded in bad weather though. When travelling with disc wheels I’m always a bit worried a rotor will come out of the box bent.
