Marin Nicasio SE Japan spec that I built up. Started out as just about the lowest grade Nicasio you can get, but now it’s in fine shape!
Running a cues 40t crank and advent x 10s drivetrain. 11-48 cassette.
Changed the bars from the flats it came with to Dixna Bandy Cross bars and I’m running juintech R1 cable actuated hydros – they feel just as if not better than the tektro hydros that came on the bike.
I have a Topeak rack in the back and use the Topeak mtx with the fold out panniers. Front rack is some random thing I found – but it’s similar to a Soma Lucas rack. running some ostrich S7 panniers on that. It’s not low rider, so it’s a bit tippy when super loaded unfortunately but gets me there so long as I don’t overweight them. I run a relatively small front bag and strap a camping pad and other things on top.
Framebag is by Fairweather, which is Blue Lugs’ bag brand. It’s excellent!
Will probably throw on some mudguards for the summer season coming up. japan is backwards – weather is even worse in summer than winter. Eventually I’ll also get a dyno wheel up front but for now I’m happy with the situation!
