City just put in a new separated bike lane (yay)!!! However, it doesn’t connect to any other bike lanes at this point, so I’m finding it’s a little awkward to use. The City is just working on developing an active transportation network. What is the correct way to get on and off of this style of bike lane? Particularly, if coming from the opposite side of the street? Or turning left off the path?

Depends how long it is and how “out of the way” it would be to get on it.
If it were just 1 or 2 blocks, it’s probably just safer and faster to stay biking on the road and let all the “my tax dollars pay for these bike lanes just for cyclists to take up MY road” NIMBY’s to lemony about.
If there’s wide sidewalks before and after, I suppose you can bike on the sidewalks then transition easier to and from the bike lane
> separated bike lane
That’s almost always a bad idea in-town. This is why: “little awkward to use”. It will always be awkward at EVERY junction, most of the junctions will be even dangerous!
BTW that’s not even “lane” but “bicycle path”, lanes are on the road.
