  1. Tighten the chain up for one. But it’s not immediately obvious what the issue is, is it your cassette hub driver not engaging properly?

  2. Sure it’s a cassette hub? Looks like the normal slack of a freecoaster,if you can ride backwards without pedaling its a freecoaster

  3. Not all freecoasters sounds the same,some even ressemble to cassette,if it’s not à FC then it probably comes from the crank,testing the wheel on an other bike would show if it the crank or the hub

    That seems like a normal amount of slack to me. Center your wheel and get some slack out of your chain and it will feel a bit better. Right now when you pedal forward, you have chain slack AND the gap of cassette pawl engagement. Can’t change the pawl engagement easily, but getting the chain slack out is quick. Just done make the chain too tight.
