Just noticed this crack today on my rear wheel on a 2022 Grizl unfortunately. Its a DT Swiss C1850. I haven’t been using my Grizl really aggressively at all. It’s 80% road and 20% light gravel. And no bags, just water bottles and a saddle bag.
So what are my options, you think warranty is an option? Bike is less than 2 years old.
Some questions:
– do I contact Canyon for warranty or
– do I contact DT Swiss, they say the warranty is 2 years on their site. But I think this is an OEM wheelset?
– if they were to approve the warranty, do I need to send in the wheel and then wait possibly months for replacement?
– given that 2023 models come with a different wheelset, would I get a C1850 for replacement or something else? Can there be any issues with different front/rear wheel?
– if they don’t approve the warranty do I just get a DT Swiss C1800 rear wheel or is better to upgrade, or even upgrade both front and rear?
