Congrats on putting together your own bike, but your shift lever/braking situation is a mess.

You’ve brought your braking hand position way out over your front shock. When you brake on a steep downhill, that shock will compress, that wheel will move back, your weight will shift forward and you will go over the bars. Enjoy the ride
